The holistic method of oil pulling has been used for thousands of years for oral and dental care.

What is oil pulling?

When oil is pulled, a high-quality cooking oil is taken into the mouth and pulled through the interdental spaces for minutes. This holistic method goes back to ancient traditions such as Ayurveda, the Indian teaching of healthy living. In India, sesame oil is traditionally used for oil pulling, but you can also use coconut oil, linseed oil or our natural olive oil.

What effect does oil pulling with olive oil have?

Oil pulling is an uncomplicated method to strengthen the gums and protect them from inflammation. If a good olive oil is used, you can also benefit from its antibacterial and antioxidant properties.

How does oil pulling work, how long should I do it?

Put a tablespoonful of oil into your mouth and rinse the entire mouth for 3-15 minutes. Pull the oil repeatedly through the spaces between the teeth. At first this is certainly unusual and requires some practice. Take breaks in between.

Does oil pulling have any side effects?

It is important not to swallow the oil after the treatment. Spit it onto a cloth and put it in the household waste. Rinsing the mouth, as instructed, gives it a whitish colour.

Do I get white teeth from oil pulling?

Oil pulling is not a substitute for cleaning your teeth daily, but a nice addition to integral tooth and oral hygiene. After oil pulling you should rinse your mouth with warm water and then brush your teeth as usual.

Oil pulling mornings evenings? When is the best time?

The ideal time for oil pulling is in the morning, directly after getting up, on an empty stomach. It is a nice ritual that can be easily integrated into your daily dental hygiene.
